Rice Planters Amateur Golf Tournament at Snee Farm Country Club

Rice Planters Tournament

About the Tournament

The Rice Planters Amateur Golf Tournament was created by Dick Horne, a local amateur golfer, with hopes of establishing a competitive showcase of young talent in the South. Many years later, Horne’s vision continues to attract top players from around the world, and is considered to be one of the top 10 amateur golf tournaments in the southeastern United States. The Rice Planters tournament is a four-day invitational event at Snee Farm Country Club, and it has hosted a great array of recognizable amateur players over the years. Tom Lehman, Davis Love III, Hal Sutton, Stewart Cink, Andy Bean, Scott Hoch and many others have honed their skills at this beautiful course. With the effective combination of quality competition and enthusiastic community involvement, the Rice Planters will remain one of the most prestigious tournaments in the Southeast.
